When there is truth on the level of being that is connecting everything, you can see this truth shining through all levels of existence. The truth expresses itself as a beauty. You can see the beauty of the movement. You can see the beauty of the body. You can see the beauty of the moment.
When there is truth inside, you do not need to correct anything by acting on the outside.
You do not need to cover the inside problem with outside tricks.
When there is beauty inside, everything around is beautiful as well.
You cannot act only on one level, for example, biomechanics of movement, and try to fix everything by acting exclusively on this level. It’s not using science to make riding better – it’s putting paint on the mold.
The ugliness stays, as it’s still inside. I am not against biomechanics. Biomechanics is a beautiful expression of truth. I am not against biomechanics. I am against biomechanics as a tool to manipulate reality.
The first step to support your horse to express his beauty is to connect with his beauty, see this beauty in him and nourish it with love and patience so it can be expressed in truth on all levels and at the same time.
When you ride with your horse in Connection and Calmness, you do not need riding tricks, you do not need to fix anything, you do not need to make anything “better”. You feel free and amused by all the beauty around you, and you just admire this beauty, and your admiration makes it shine even more and multiply.
You can very easily understand it, when you look at how you prepare good food: good cooking is not about covering the natural products used by the spices and fancy cooking techniques; good cooking is about taking the amazing natural products and through the process of cooking allowing their flavours and qualities to be enhanced and even more visible, not covered. So when you want to have a better meal, you look for better products, not for hotter spices or fancy ways of cooking.
