Suppose that you spouse has just asked you to clean the dishes, and you don’t like cleaning the dishes at all. Such a situation can stress you, and because of this stress you can start seeing only two possibilities of acting:
A. Start fighting, and arguing why it’s you who has to clean the dishes this time, or
B. Submit, and go silently to clean the dishes, still being stressed, sad or angry.
Conventional horse training is based on repeating such stressful situations, and teaching your horse that the only thing the horse can do is to SURRENDER & SUBMIT.
But there are MORE POSSIBILITIES 👀💪🏼
Suppose, that you know how to relax when someone asks you to clean the dishes, even if you don’t like doing it at all. Then, when such a situation occurs, you can relax and you can see HUNDREDS of possible actions that you can take, not only FIGHTING or SUBMITTING 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Such a training is a TRAINING OF FLEXIBILITY.
It’s a systematic process based on specially designed exercises that are teaching your horse how to relax, when something unpleasant or unexpected is happening.
It doesn’t teach your horse to relax for the pure relaxation. It teaches your horse to relax and GIVE NEW ANSWERS.
Such a training is freeing your horse from the pattern of FIGHTING or SUBMITTING.
When your horse stays CALM, he can choose to be with you and to support you, which is very different from submitting to your will or fighting with you.
