True partnership is possible only when you know who you are.
True partnership is based on promises and on stability.
Stability and keeping promises are not possible if you don’t know who you are.
Many times I see people really want to change something in THEIR LIVES. You may think that there is nothing simpler than changing one’s own life. But the life experience teaches us that many times the simplest changes are almost impossible.
During my everyday life I meet people who want to be good horse trainers or good riders or good horse owners – and they cannot achieve this even in the situation when they truly and deeply want to change themselves. Why is that? Because they don’t know who they are.
When you don’t know who you are it is like trying to call yourself and not knowing your own phone number.
You are calling, but this call will not come to the real you. You will call others but the others won’t change you. Tomorrow there will be another “others” and they will make other decisions. And that is why you cannot keep any promises, even the ones you made to yourself.
If you start to spend your time with your horse here and now and are fully aware of what is going on – you will find yourself. You will know your “phone number” to call yourself and to address the TRUE YOU.
At this moment the promises you will make will truly change the real YOU and they will be kept for the future. This is the moment when the partnership can start because the partnership is possible only between your real you and your horse.
This kind of partnership is an absolute requirement for any future training with your horse. That is why I start from these simple ideas.
This kind of partnership is absolutely required to be able to safely train from the ground and ride your horse.
And this is going to be my most important goal:
To show you how to build a base from which your further training can successfully grow and blossom.
This kind of base for your further training will bring you more happiness and bliss
than you can now imagine.
