There is a life...
There is a life, in which days, months and years seem to pass by with the speed of light. Unnoticed, non-significant times of vegetation of a stone that travels its journey once it has been thrown out in the space. The trajectory that has been set, is being fulfilled without the possibility of change. Without the presence of the will that allows the change. Passively.
And, there is a Life.
There is a Life, in which a moment takes an eternity.
Time slows down and is filled with meaning. Movement slows down and is filled with a purpose. Experiences, gathered by years of living, slowly incept the new. Like a soap-bubble that assimilates another one.
There are no emotions only flat, and open like a white platter curiosity, that is being filled with the new in it’s fullness, totality, and with a full understanding. The new arrives, but as it arrives it already feels known, and old. It is a good old feeling, like meeting an old friend that you didn’t expect to meet. There is no process of learning, understanding. Everything is already understood, and was understood before, although without the possibility of being accessed and reached before.
How come? Because…
...It has always existed within you.
Only this time, you opened for it. You only reminded yourself about it’s existence, like a person who cleans the closet and reminds herself about a scarf, or a dress that was so well-forgotten, that it’s existence almost vanished from the memory.
When we access the forgotten, we experience in flesh the moments that are the fundamental construction of our cognition.
And then, the trajectory of the stone changes, and it starts another travel through another trajectory, that has been just set.
And it will remain unchanged, unless the moment of stillness happens again. Until the next pause is purposely created. And filled with a meaning. With a possibility of remembering something that was so lost, that almost never existed. Although it was always there.
Feel to Remember.
It’s well-known that emotions are the true carries of our memory.
Anything that will be connected with a great fear, or a great pleasure will be well remembered. Fear is an emotion that is necessary for the survival, and it imprints in our memory everything that allowed us to sustain our existence, and avoid risk of death or injury that might have been leading to death. The memory of fear is created to limit some of the experiences, to sustain life.
Fear is balanced by Love.
Love is an emotion that supports memory, and balances the closing and limiting effect of fear. It is enough to recall any of the exams you have been through, how much could you recall or remind when you were stressed or scared? And how much when you felt Calm, confident or Loved?
Love allows us to remember everything that happened when we felt love, loved and joyful. Love opens us to seek more of such experiences, that are popping like seeds of pop-corn on the pan of LOVE.
I am many times asked: “How to be open?“, “Please tell me what being open means?“, “How to be open in one’s heart?”
I feel grateful for these questions, because they remind me how much we all need love in our lives, and how much acting through love is forgotten these days. It reminds me, that too many of us are living a life of a stone, that has been once thrown and is now just realising the trajectory that has been once set. Powerlessly. Passively. Helplessly.
But not without awareness.
Awareness is always alive.
Even for a stone, the live and invincible awareness awakes the right questions, that have the courage to be asked out-loud. The real questions have the power of receiving the real answers, and when the real answer that follows the real question is met with the moment of silence, with a pause, when the mind is still and heart open like a soap-bubble that awaits the joyful possibility of uniting with an another soap-bubble, there is a chance of true cognition to happen.
There is a chance for a cognition, that is rooted in love, not in books or universities or repetitions of what have been said before; of a cognition that carries the true memories of things that have been never seen, heard of or experienced in this Life before. Although, they have been always remembered.
Once it happens, enjoy it in Silence.
And observe how the trajectory of your Life changes.
World's best musicians say...
that they do not play the music, they play the pauses.
And though love that opens the moments of Silence for the true cognition, you can remind yourself how to play… To live a Life filled with Awareness, Calmness and Love.
Awareness, Calmness and Love.
“We stand together in CALMNESS, like the quiet lake on a breathless day….
I SMILE;
I LOVE;
I THANK HIM;
I OPEN my heart to the thought of trot;
I TRUST; and
just like that we move together in UNITY, with PURPOSE like the rising tide.I LET GO of any inclination and instantly we have one magnificent stride of canter.”
It is just a short passage from a beautiful testimony that I received from my student, Andreia Ho-Tong, about her impressions from my and my horses’ lessons that we shared with her.
I smile, I love, I thank, I open is pure OneHorseLife mantra that I share with all my students. And, what is more, we not only say it, we can put it all back to practice. With a great success.
